APVMA requirements

From 1 July 2014, every overseas company needs to have a nominated agent for all registrations and approvals under the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code (AgVet Code).


AgVet Code

"If the holder is not a resident of, and does not carry on business in, Australia, it is a condition of the approval or registration that there is a nominated agent for the approval or registration." AgVet Code, Section 8N

"It is a condition of the approval or registration that the nominated agent is a resident of, or carries on business in, Australia." AgVet Code, Section 8M (4)

"Anything that may, or must, be done under this Code by, or in relation to, the holder, as the holder of the approval or registration, may be done by, or in relation to, either the holder or the nominated agent." AgVet Code, Section 8R
